Tucked away in a quiet corner of Queensland, Australia, is Amaroo – which means ‘a beautiful place’ in one of the local Aboriginal dialects.
Amaroo, also called Ivory's Rock Conference Centre, is one of the only Knowledge Centres in the world.
Amaroo is an amazing place – 800 hectares of bush and parkland where four species of wallaby roam freely and more than 100 species of birds can be spotted.
But it is much more than that…
Prem Rawat, also known by the honorary title Maharaji, has been a frequent invited guest speaker since the conference centre opened in 1992 and his presence has helped to make it known worldwide.
Thousands of people have traveled from 60 countries to hear him speak here, and have stayed at Amaroo’s beautiful, well-equipped campgrounds. The last international event in September 2007 attracted nearly 3300 guests from 62 countries - most of whom stayed on site.
Year round, people interested in Prem Rawat's message attend retreats, watch the latest event videos from around the world, and volunteer to help beautify this wonderful natural place.
Events are held regularly, where people come to hear about Prem Rawat for the first time and to learn more about what he offers.
Amaroo is a unique experience. You will be amazed.
