Book Before 22nd August

If you haven’t already registered to attend Amaroo 2017, we advise booking by 22nd August (Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne time) so you will be allocated a different seat each day. Bookings made after that date will be allocated seating towards the back.

Pick Up Your Seat Tickets

When you arrive at Amaroo please bring your registration receipt so you can pick up your seat tickets at the Seating & Ticketting Booth (no. 26) in the Pavilion. Times it is open are:

Saturday 9th Sept – 4pm to 9pm.

Sunday 10th Sept –  11am to 9pm

Monday 11th Sept – 10am to 3pm

Catering Updates

Jacaranda Cafe

Jacaranda Restaurant will be operated by Figjam & Co this year at the Jacaranda Campgrounds with two sittings per night – 6pm and 7.45pm.

Online bookings will be open by 21st August.  Walk ins welcome. See their delicious menu here.

Peak Organics Shops

No need to shop on the way to Amaroo, you can stock up at Peak Organics. This year Peak Organics are running two shops – Shop 11 will stock scrumptious bakery items as well as a wide range of delicious breakfasts and lunch options. Shop 12 will be a combined supermarket and delicatessen . Various milks, biscuits, crackers and a general range of supermarket items will be stocked In the supermarket section and. In the delicatessen section you will find olives, cheeses and other local products to be savoured. We encourage guests to bring their own shopping bags to cut costs and save the environment.

Breakfast In the Campgrounds

This year there will be Community Hubs at the campgrounds where guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast provided by food trucks and coffee carts. Tables and chairs within and near the storm shelters provide a relaxing space, with tea and coffee on tap during the day, noticeboards with the latest information and hosts to help with your enquiries.

Pavilion Catering

The Pavilion this year will offer more cuisine options – Vegan, Latin American Bar B Q, Pizzas, Paella, Indian, Greek, Japanese and good old Aussie burgers.


Accommodation Still Available

There are a few Motorhome sites available, and also air conditioned bunk houses and some Deluxe tents (single or double). Pioneer singles and twins are still available and a whole new area has been set up for another 100 Swagman (bring your own tent) due to high demand.   If you would like to book accommodation go to the Registration Page.

Tents Gone Up!

The tents have gone up in the Sandy Creek campground and the team are busy fitting them out for your comfort. You can expect to receive your Amaroo campsite location soon via email.



Almost 400 people have chosen to help with the event. Thanks everyone!  It’s such a pleasure and a privilege to receive your offers of help.
Some teams still need personnel, so do submit your available dates, skills, and experience – over 40 supervisors will see your application. Please apply at the Volunteers Page and fill in the Helper Form.

Here are some of the roles that need to be filled, but please fill in the Helper Form if you would like to volunteer for another area or role, there are plenty more roles that need to be filled.

Customer Services Roles:

Campground Community Hub Coordinators

Welcome Gate Coordinator

Airport Welcome Coordinator


Hospitality Roles:

Cook for a team of 10 people  Needed from 2nd September

Kitchen Hands.


Admin/Clerical Roles:

Reception/Admin – needed from now onwards, one day a week, increasing towards event date. Incoming and outgoing calls, admin tasks, communications. Some office experience needed.

Purchasing/Delivery Assistant – on-site from now onwards, 4 hours approx per day.


Operations Roles:

Grounds Helpers – needed from now on. Moderate to good level of physical fitness needed.

Event Facilities Helpers – start one month before the event. Trades background an advantage.

Field Water Testers – Simple, easy task with some basic training.

General Event Assistants – Reliable local or onsite volunteers needed to help from 20 August with light general tasks. For example: laminating and placing numbers on tent sites.
Roving Tech Assistants – Do you like helping people and are a bit techo? There’s several roving roles helping people download apps and connect to on-site wifi. On site from 9 Sept. Familiarity with Apple, Mac, PCs and Android desirable but not essential.
H & S Roles:

Health and Safety Spotters- Roving site-wide, observe and report potential issues. Needed onsite from 6 Sept.
