Assisted Access

The Assisted Access (AA) team is looking forward to welcoming you to Amaroo 2026.
Amaroo is a unique natural environment which can be challenging, especially for people with mobility limitations or health issues. There is some uneven ground, the days can be hot and the evenings can be cold.
If you have a medical condition, it would be wise to check with your health practitioner before you decide to attend. Please ensure to bring a full supply of your regular medications and ideally a letter from your health practitioner summarising your health conditions.
Guests travelling from outside of Australia are strongly recommended to organise travel insurance prior to arrival.
If you have questions please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) below or you can reach out via the Help Desk.

Support for Assisted Access guests will include:

  • designated parking in the car park close to the main entry
  • a low floor bus and a wheelchair van from the Welcome Hall to the Pavilion and the Pavilion to the Amphitheatre and return
  • a shade tent in the Pavilion
  • the same Assisted Access seating in the Amphitheatre for all events
  • support for guests getting on and off the bus and getting to their seating.

Seating

Construction is underway of a dedicated platform with ramp access. This will provide safe, easy access to seating in the Amphitheatre for Assisted Access guests including those using a wheelchair or a wheeled walker.
There will be additional Assisted Access seating in a Marquee in the berm area at the rear of the Amphitheatre.
For Assisted Access guests who can negotiate steps, there will be seating in the tiered seating in front of the Accessible Platform.
By registering for Assisted Access, you, and your carer if they are going to sit with you, agree to be seated within the designated Assisted Access areas of the Amphitheatre. You will be seated in the same seat throughout the event.

Transport

If you simply need transport up the hill to the Amphitheatre, there will be shuttle buses provided by general transport, freely available to everyone.
There will be a low floor bus provided for Assisted Access (AA) guests. Please only register for Assisted Access if you have mobility issues that make it difficult for you to climb steps into a bus. This is a free service.
There is limited capacity on the low floor bus. Please be aware that if a second run is required there will be a wait time until the bus returns.

Register for Assisted Access

The Assisted Access register will close on Friday August 21st, so that we can confirm suitable buses.
Registration for Assisted Access will open when the Event Registration opens.
