The sun is shining and the rain has gone! The venue for this afternoon is back at the Amphitheatre at 4pm  You can take your seat from 2.30pm

If you have booked a bus to the Airport
Buses depart Friday 5.00pm and 12 midnight on Friday, then hourly from 3.00am Saturday morning until 3.00pm Saturday afternoon
Sandy Creek Bus Pickup Points:
Pickups Points will be in Brown, Yellow & Green Sandy Creek Campgrounds.
If you are staying in Purple or Grey, please go to Green Campground
If you are staying in Orange, please go to Yellow Campground
There will be a mini bus to help people with luggage get to the 3 Pick up points.
Jacaranda Campground:
A shuttle will run from Jacaranda to the Welcome Hall to join with the Airport Bus.

Important International Flight information
The Airlines at Brisbane International Airport are requesting you check-in with a minimum of 3 hours before departure.  This is because the flights are extremely full due to large Conventions and Events taking place in Queensland.
Therefore we recommend that you arrive at the Airport 4 hours before your flight.
Please take a moment to check your return tickets, and be clear on your departure time, to avert any last minute mistakes with your itinerary.
If you have not checked in on time, it will be difficult for Airlines to accommodate you on other flights. By arriving early and checking in ahead of the 3 hour minimum, it will secure your seat.
Also, airport security has the right to conduct random screenings and that may take time.
Fiji Airways travellers must fill a “Passenger Attestation Form” found on www.fijiairways.com

Check-out with QR Code
Most of you checked-in with the QR Code before you boarded the bus at the airport. 
Please check-out with the QR Code on your departure. 
The code will be made available in a number of places at the Welcome Hall. The code document will also be made available on the buses for circulation during your journey. (Update 8 Sept)

Please check your belongings.  The Lost & Found at the Information Booth has many items that need to be claimed.  Shop 29 in the Pavilion

Seating Tickets
Handy Tip - take a photo of your ticket (in case you lose it)
Pick up your tickets at Shop 28 in the Pavilion. 
Opening times: Sunday 4 Sept 11am - 8pm & Monday 9am - 2pm. 
*** Ticket pick up will then open at 3pm from a Translation Booth in the Amphitheatre. 
You can sit with your partner if you pick up your tickets together or show their Smart Card and Registration email.
On your ticket you will see your Amphitheatre Seat number, and also a Zone Allocation for the large Marquee in the Pavilion (in case of wet weather)
Please note: If you have a medical exemption from wearing a Mask, you will need to show it when you pick up your tickets. You will be seated in a special area at the back of the Amphitheatre where there is good visibility and good air flow to keep you and all the attendees safe. (Update 4 Sept)

Domestic Airport - Amaroo Bus
Here are the directions from the Virgin and Qantas Domestic Terminals to the Amaroo Airport Bus.
VIRGIN
Turn right out of the airport building. Go past the Coffee Club. Take the travelator or lift to the Skywalk (the overhead pedestrian bridge to the carpark). Go past the Airtrain exit and take the next travelator to the left. Look for the Amaroo sign. Go down the travelator to the bus bays. Turn right and look for the D2 sign and wait for the bus.
QANTAS
Turn left out of the airport building. Take the first travelator or lift to the Skywalk (the overhead pedestrian bridge to the car park). Turn right off the travelator. Stay on left side of Skywalk. Go past the Airtrain exit and take the next travelator to the left. Look for the Amaroo sign. Go down the travelator to the bus bays. Turn right and look for D2 sign and wait for the bus  (Update 3 Sept)
New QR Check-in process
Amaroo is using a new QR Check-in process for this event. It is easy and simple to use. All guests will be required to check-in using the code before entering Ivory’s Rock, and fill in the online form. You will also need to scan the code to check-out when leaving.
The QR Code serves 2 purposes:
1.  Safety - so we know who is onsite and when they leave.  
2. Guests sign the online form to say they do not have Covid.
Please have your smart phone ready to scan the QR code at the Welcome Hall or when boarding an Amaroo Airport Bus. If you have a new phone you can use your camera to do this. If you have an older phone you will need to download a QR reader/scanner App. Someone will assist you if do not have a phone. (Updated 1 September)

COVID-safe measures
To keep you, our staff and our guest speaker Prem Rawat safe, Masks will be mandated in the Amphitheatre, Buses & Shuttles and where social distancing is not possible. 
Please note: Vaccination and Testing are recommended but not mandated for Amaroo.

Important Transport information
Airport Buses to Ivory's Rock  Available at both the Domestic & International terminals.
Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th: Departs every hour from 6am - 8pm (subject to delays in plane arrivals or guests moving through security/baggage.)
Airport Buses from Ivory's Rock   There will be one Bus at midnight on Friday 9th September .  Then on Saturday morning starting at 4AM, Buses will depart every hour until 3PM.  
Please note: everyone must leave the site by 3 PM Saturday. (Update- 25 August)

Dayas Fine Dining 
We still have a few open reservations for lunch Monday through to Friday and for dinner Monday through to Thursday. Friday dinner is sold out. 
Once you arrive at Amaroo, you can check in and make your Dayas Dining plan at the Dayas Welcome Tent / bus stop located near the Pavilion area. 
GREAT NEWS for dinner guests who are staying at Ipswich or Brisbane hotels:
Transportation back to your hotel will be provided, if needed, for dinner reservations booked on Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday evenings. (Update 29 August)
Registration and Accommodation Stats
Over 2750 people from 57 countries have now registered 
1400 people have booked onsite accommodation. 
All onsite Accommodation is now sold out.
Deluxe, Powered Motorhome sites and all Pioneer Tents are sold out. 
1,440 people registered in the first 24 hours, with just over 700 people in the first hour!
All the Orange Campground Cabins sold out in 15 minutes!  Bunkhouses sold out in 1 hour.
What to Bring

Volunteer
Campgrounds aim to provide a warm and helpful welcome to onsite guests and are seeking 10 more volunteers to complete their teams. email Nan accommodations@amaroo.org

Guest Services are looking for friendly people to be 'first face' of the event, greeting arrivals at the airport. email hr@amaroo.org
HR will be open at shop 13 in the Pavilion to let you know what volunteer opportunities are still available and to provide volunteer support when needed.

Pavilion Shops
New listings of retail shops are now on the Pavilion page. 
Beautiful gifts are available at the TimelessToday and Intelligent Existence Shops with Prem Rawat's book Hear Yourself available. 
There is also hand dyed clothes made in New Zealand from the Travelling Lite Shop. 
The Amaroo General Store & Music Shop will be open with useful items for campers as well as a wide range of music. Visit the Pavilion page 
E-Visas & ETA App
From 6 April 2022, all ETA-eligible passport holders can apply for an E-Visa using the "Australian ETA" app. It enables passengers to obtain an E-visa by scanning their passports into the App.
USA, UK and many European citizens can use this App to receive their visas more quickly.
Your smartphone needs to have NFC (Near-Field Communication) for this to work.

Visa delays
We are sorry to hear that some people haven't received their visas.   If you are still waiting, you need to deal directly with the Australian Department of Home Affairs yourself.  Ivory’s Rock Foundation can only provide the initial Visa Support Letters - we cannot contact the Australian Department of Home Affairs for you. 
According to the information on the Department of Home Affairs website, the processing time for visas depends on many factors. eg submitting incomplete applications or how promptly the applicants respond.
This year, the Department is apparently short-staffed due to staff members getting sick with Covid. This may explain the visa approval delays.
It does not lessen your chances of getting your visa approved, if you call the Department and ask about your application. It is also possible to file a complaint regarding processing delays. These delays are happening to people who are in many different countries. (Update 12 August)

COVID Update 
As the average age of this year's attendees is 70 years, many of our guests are vulnerable with health issues. To protect everyone during the 5 days of events, Masks will be mandated in the Amphitheatre as well on Buses and Shuttles. Masks are also highly recommended in areas where social distancing is not possible. Please bring with you sufficient face masks for the week, preferably N95, KN95, P2, FFP2. Read more COVID Info page

Amphitheatre Rotated Seating
Rotated seating is now closed If you would like to be part of the rotated seating system you will need to have registered for Amaroo before midnight Thursday 11th August AEST  (The computer rotation process will commence and tickets will be printed)
Ticket Pick up: Pavilion Shop 28. Opening times: Sunday 4 Sept between 11am - 8pm - Monday 9am until before the event.  You can sit with your partner if you pick up your tickets together or show their Smart Card and Registration email. 
Translation 
Translation will be offered in these languages:
Hindi,  Spanish,  Tamil,  French,  Japanese,  Italian,  Mandarin,  German.
Please note: Despite our best efforts, there is only one translator for Italian and one translator for Tamil.  Please be aware that some of the events may not be translated into those languages. It will be too much for one person to translate all the events over 5 days. Thank you.  (Update 5 August)
If you need translation or English hearing enhancement, please bring an FM radio that has headphones and can receive FM frequencies from 87.7 to 108 MHz.  A radio with a digital display is best for tuning.
Good news! One more person has stepped forward to help. All events will be translated into Tamil.
Important - Transit Visa required for New Zealand stop 
Reminder:  If your flight does a stop in Auckland, New Zealand (even if it is a direct connection with no change of plane/flight number) you MUST have a transit visa.
Apply Here :  (Cost NZ $12) The visa process may take several hours to 1 day for the reply.
Please make sure you have this visa in place to avoid any potential re-boarding problems.

Free Amphitheatre Buses
Buses that run between the Pavilion and the Amphitheatre are now free.  Bus Passes are no longer required to board the bus. All Buses that run on-site are now free. (Update 1 August)
Smart Card
If you have not received your new or replacement Smart Card by the time of travel, please bring your Registration Confirmation printout to the Smart Card Office. (situated at the Welcome Hall)   
You will be given a wrist band to verify you for the whole event.  Please wear your mask in the Smart Card office.  Thank you (Update 7 August)

If you have paid for the Amaroo transport bus to/from Ivory's Rock.

Buses to Ivory's Rock  Available at both the Domestic & International terminals.

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th: Departs every hour from 6am - 8pm (subject to delays in plane arrivals or guests moving through security/baggage.)

Please remember it is difficult to arrive at Ivory's Rock after dark. It would be best to stay in an airport hotel and go back to the airport to catch the Amaroo bus the next day.

Buses from Ivory's Rock   Friday 9th departs at 12 midnight.   Saturday 10th starting at 4AM, every hour until 3PM.  Please note: everyone must leave the site by 3 PM Saturday.

You can travel with others in your party by waiting for the bus together. The Help Desk is not able to coordinate transport for you and your party.

Ivory's Rock will only be open to essential volunteers before September 3rd and after September 10th. You will need approval from your volunteer manager to be allowed on the site early or to stay late. The Help Desk is not handling transportation or accommodations for volunteers.

If you reserved a roundtrip ticket, but are not going to be using the airport bus for roundtrip transportation, please follow the instructions below to modify your booking:

Modifying a booking

In the registration acknowledgment email, each person receives instructions on setting up a RegFox account that enables them to make their own changes.

After logging in to https://ivorysrockfoundation.account.webconnex.com/login, you will see 3 links just below "Ivory's Rock Foundation" - Personal Information, Registrations, and Logout.

Click the link “Registrations” and then the link “Amaroo 2022 Registration”. You will see some general information and scrolling down, the details for each registrant in the transaction.

Each of these has a green "Edit" button.

Transportation:
Cancel the roundtrip ticket you have reserved. Then click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
Go back into your Registration and book a one-way ticket to reflect your transportation needs. Then click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

Hiring Linen * Please contact your Motorhome company as you may be able to rent linen at an extra charge (A guest has done this and at a charge comparable to Ivory's Rock.)
If this is not possible, write to bookings@ivorysrock.foundation with your needs. You will be given the final sum for your linen package.
Payment for your linen can be made when you first arrive at the Welcome Hall. You will be given a receipt.
Collect your linen pack against this receipt at your Campground Hub.  (update 17 Aug)

Accommodation Waitlist requests It is no longer possible to be waitlisted for accommodation. There have been many requests and they are being filled in the order of when have been made. You will be notified by email if there is an opportunity for you to reserve the accommodation you requested.

Allocations The allocations of site assignments will not be done for several weeks.

Motorhome delivery to Ivory's Rock If you would like your Motorhome delivered to Ivory's Rock, you will need to arrange the drop-off and collection with the Motorhome company. Ivory's Rock does not organise this.  Most Motorhomes are booked out but you could try this link for more information. Hire of Linen Packs - Updated 1 Aug Some linen packs are available to hire out to Motorhome guests.  They will be available in the Pavilion area. Powered and non-powered accommodation - Updated 1 Aug A “powered” tent or cabin means that it has electricity, and a “non-powered” tent means it does not.  Power stations will be arranged for non-powered tents. Power boards are 4-outlet 10A boards. For Australia, the associated plug type is I, which is the plug that has three flat pins in a triangular pattern. Australia operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. Cabins & Bunkhouses  Orange Campground Ensuite cabins have 2 electric outlets. Bunkhouses in Sandy Creek and Jacaranda have 1 electric outlet. Water kettles are dangerous and not allowed in Swagman.  Kettles are provided to boil your water in the laundry area at each Campground's Storm Shelters/Community Hubs. Smart Card
If you have lost your Smart Card please send an email to the Help Desk. Your Smart Card number will be sent to you so you can register. If your name has changed since the original application please advise your previous name(s) as well.

If you haven’t received your new/replacement Smart Card before you travel, please come to the Smart Card Office at the left of the Welcome area/Hall. You will be given a wristband to attend the conference.  (Updated 22nd July)
Volunteer

Amphitheatre Rotated Seating
If you would like to be part of the rotated seating system you will need to have registered for Amaroo before 11th August AEST  

How it works - Seats are allocated randomly by a computerised system in groups of 6 seats. Each group is then rotated randomly to sit in a different seat in a different part of the Amphitheatre each day.
It takes time to implement the rotation and print the tickets, so you need to be registered by  August 11th to be part of it. People who register after that date will be seated behind the rotated seating audience.  (update - 9 July)

The Help Desk has received many enquiries. Here are some of the answers you may find helpful.

We are sorry to hear some of our USA friends had problems using credit cards when registering. Some of the banks suspected fraudulent transactions being made in the early hours of the morning.

It was a stressful experience and we hope it has been resolved for you.

The volunteers on the Help Desk work hard to problem solve with appropriate managers and then get back to you. Thank you for your patience. 

If you tried to register but your credit card payment was rejected:

  1. Don’t try to pay more than twice with one credit card (if you try several times, it might be blocked by your bank).
  2. If you have an Amex card, try using it instead of your other card(s).
  3. Please check with your bank that there are sufficient funds on your credit card.
  4. Please check that the settings on your card allow you to submit payments globally.
  5. Please check that the limit on payments from your card are sufficient.
  6. You may need to advise your bank that a substantial amount is to be paid to an overseas entity. (state the amount)
  7. Your bank may believe you are conducting a suspicious operation with a suspicious faraway country and receiving entity that you normally don’t make payments to, and the receiving entity has to then be approved by your bank.
  8. Once you clear this up, re-try the registration process. Please wait 24 hours and If you are still experiencing problems, please contact the Helpdesk.

Bank Charges - Unfortunately we are unable to do anything about bank charges.
Your bank charges IRF no matter what you use, whether debit or credit card.(it is called International Interchange Merchant Fee).
