Amaroo events are hosted by Ivorys Rock, a unique venue of great natural beauty. Our volunteers work in a wide variety of environments and we take care to alert people to potential risks.

While every precaution is taken to ensure your safety, volunteers and guests also have a responsibility. This fun quiz is designed to help you understand the importance of working safely.

Thank you for your contribution to Amaroo and remember always, you are more important than the job you are doing.

Ivorys Rock is responsible for ensuring:

Safe systems of work.

A well maintained workplace, plant and amenities.

That protective equipment is available.

The tasks you carry-out at Ivorys Rock will be assigned by your Supervisor. This Supervisor is responsible for ensuring:

Your dog is cared for.

Your personal protective equipment (PPE) is available and correctly fitted for the task you are assigned.

You have a good seat at the event.

It is your responsibility to:

Be aware of the impact your work may have on the safety and well being of others

Notify your Supervisor of accidents and damage to property and equipment.

Behave in a safe manner.

Take photographs.

Use a phone to call 000 and follow instructions.

Only take action if it is safe to do so.

First aid kits are:

Hard to find.

A good place to find scissors.

Available throughout Ivorys Rock, and your Supervisor will explain.

There can be snakes and ticks at Ivorys Rock, particularly in the long grass. You should:

Have tick bites treated as soon as possible.

Stay away from any snake, and report its presence to your Supervisor.

If someone is bitten by a snake, ensure person stays still and call for first aid.

Smoking at Ivorys Rock is OK when:

having a coffee.

Filling your car with petrol (gas).

No-one is looking.

You are in a designated Smoking Area.

Maintenance at Ivorys Rock is:

Only to be carried-out by qualified staff
